ジャック・スピラ・ギターズ、今年は展示会の出展をお休みします…。その理由は？

2013年に初めて日本に上陸したジャック・スピラ（Jack Spira）のギター。

それ以来、5年間、「大阪サウンドメッセ」および「東京ハンドクラフトギターフェスティバル」に恒例で出展させていただいておりましたが、今年は残念ながら出展を１年見送りにさせていただくことになりました。

何人かのジャック・スピラ・ギター・ファンの方には、「今年も出展しますか？」「楽しみにしています！」と事前にお声かけをいただいていたので、今回の見送りは本当に残念なのですが…。

実は、昨年半ば頃よりジャックさんの身の回りに大きな変化がありました。

ジャックのパートナーの単身赴任に始まり、一人暮らしの義兄の他界とその家の整理、工房の大家さんがニュージーランドへ転居、現在の工房の使用期限も決まり、それらを受けて、ジャックさんは工房と自宅の移転を決断しました。そして自宅の整理と売却。そして新天地での物件探しなどなど。。

これだけのことが、半年くらいの間に立て続けに身の回りに起こったジャックさんは大忙しで、当然のことながらギターづくりが進むわけもなく、現在抱えているオーダーさえもままならない感じで、当然、新作ギターなど作る間もない状況となってしまいました。。

ジャックさん、ようやく新天地に土地を購入し、これから家と工房の建設にかかります。
そんなわけで、本年はどうにも展示会出展は難しいだろうということで、１年見送りという決断に至った次第です。

ジャック・スピラ・ギターの出展を楽しみにしていただいていた皆様、誠に申し訳ございませんが、そんな事情を…どうぞご理解下さいませ。。

来年には出展が叶うことを願いつつ、ジャックさんの自宅と工房移転がスムーズに進むことを願いつつ。。

私もジャックさんの新天地、工房建設候補地を見て来ましたが、今まで以上に素敵な田舎町。
また追って、新工房の進捗などもリポートさせていただきますね！
