2014年10月サウンドメッセin大阪への旅　山あり谷あり感動あり・・・のご報告

今回で、ジャック・スピラ２回目の来日となりました。
目的は2014年１０月に開催されたサウンドメッセin大阪への出展です。
また日本にたくさんの友人ができたので、再会も楽しみとなりました。

これから始まるのは、山あり谷ありどっきりあり感動ありの、ジャックの旅の記録、
どうぞ最後までお楽しみいただければ幸いです。

ちなみに次の出展は５月２３日（土）２４日（日）に開催される
東京ハンドクラフトギターフェスティバルです♪　ただいま新作ギター製作中です。

話は戻りまして、大阪で展示したギターは５つ。

うち新作ギターは３つ　それぞれにユニークなインレイ（貝の細工）が施されています。

ぷう吉さんシグネチャーモデルJS-P1
JS−1　小さなサイズのジャック・スピラによるオリジナルモデル

Akiさん　ぷう吉さんは　２０１４年１月にメルボルンのジャックの工房を訪れ、
それぞれの仕様でギターをオーダーしました。
形も材の組み合わせもオリジナル、それぞれの演奏スタイルに合った仕様です。

永遠と再生のシンボル、二匹のケルティックドッグのインレイです。

大阪に行く前に渋谷にうかがって、お借りしてきました。

５月以来の再会を喜び、みんなでチーズ！

もう一本は　大阪江坂のドルフィンギターズさんにある
JS-2C　小さいモデル。
オーストラリアの海の生き物「ウィーディーシードラゴン」を
ジャックのデザインでくるっとまるめたインレイが入っています。

こちらの計５本のギターが、今回のサウンドメッセin大阪での展示品です。

さてAkiさんぷう吉さんのギターに、話が戻ります・・・・・・。

ふたりのギターは細かい打ち合わせや確認を経て、１０月に日本にやってきました。
１月の訪問の模様はこちらです。

初めてのギターとのご対面はサウンドメッセin大阪　搬入会場にて。
打ち合わせに打ち合わせを重ね、
たくさんの期待に胸を膨らませ、まちにまったご対面です。

再会とギターの完成に、みんなとても嬉しそうです。

明日はこの新しいギターで、サウンドメッセの会場でデモンストレーションコンサート。
ジャックは、ギターのお披露目の前の日はいつも眠れないそうです。

そこへ、武田実行委員長（ドルフィンギターズ社長）が自転車で登場。
「お疲れさん！　おージャック　久しぶり！」
サウンドメッセの実行委員長の武田さんは、すでに一日中奔走していたらしく、
そろそろお疲れのようです。
大きなイベントを主催するのは本当に大変なことです。頭がさがります。

武田さんも１４年の２月にメルボルンを訪れていて、
ドルフィンインレイとタイガーインレイのギターを注文していただきました。
はっと息を飲むギターは、こちらでご覧いただけます。

色が完全にかぶってしまいましたね。
「一部実行委員会とTシャツの色が似ている出展者の方がいますので、
みなさまお間違えのないように」（朝礼スピーチより）

このスピーチのおかげで、だれも間違えなかったようです。（笑）

さて、
一生懸命サウンドチェックしていたAkiさんがふと顔をあげ、
「高音のチューニングがなにか変な気がする。」とのコメント。

一同一瞬ひやっとしましたが。。。

「弦をかえたらなおる可能性が」
という結論に達し、さっそく弦をかえたところ、
トラブル解消したようです。

ほっ

一方ぷう吉さん
「うん、うん」としばらく考えた末、

「もっとベース音が欲しい」との要望が！

こちらも、出来上がったばかりのギターなので、
弦の太さをかえて様子をみるという選択肢もありますが、

どうするジャック？！

「そうかなって思って・・・」
と、冷静な反応。

「ブレイシングを一部削るかどうか迷ったところがあって、
削らずに持ってきたんだけど、それなら削ろうか。」

ええっ　ブレイシング（ギターの骨組み）って　今　削れるんですか？？？

ということで、弦をいったんとってから緊急オペ。

心配そうに我が子のオペを見守るぷう吉さん・・・。
道具を持ってきていたので、ちゃんと手術できました。

翌日無事　デモンストレーションコンサート。
まだピックアップがついていないので、生音をマイクでひろっての演奏。

お二人の素晴らしい演奏に会場立ち見が出る満員。

会場がわきました！

わいていたのは演奏にだけではありません。
トークも楽しいんですよね。

息のあったライブに和やかな時間となりました。

やったね！

ベース音もしっかり出ているそうです。よかった！

その後第一日目が無事終了、
Akiさんぷう吉さんのデモンストレーションのおかげで
試奏のお客様が引きも切らず、大人気ブースとなりました。

取材もしていただき、シンコーミュージックのムックのAcoustic Guitar Book 40にも
大きな紙面で記事を掲載していただきました。

こちらの記事は、ギターが出来上がったばかりの時点での取材、

ぷう吉さんとＡｋｉさんからその後、ご自身のギターについての所感を寄せていただきました。
仕上がりから約半年後のメッセージです。

・2015年3月24日　ぷう吉さんよりメッセージ

要望通り、大変バランスの良いギターを作って貰えました。
バラッドからテンポのある曲まで、なんでも弾けるギターです。
ジャックも言ってましたが、高音にキラっと光る部分があり、
メロディラインが鈴のように綺麗に響くのがお気に入りです。
できて間も無い頃は若干高音が暴れてる感じがあったのですが、
ジャックの予想どおり、弾き込むうちに落ち着いてきました。
まろやかさが増しつつ、鉄弦の煌びやかさがちゃんとあって、
これからの音の変化も楽しみです。 ブタのインレイも最高！！

 

・2014年3月25日　Ａｋｉ　Ｍｉｙｏｓｈｉさんよりメッセージ

ジャックとの会話で終始お互いが キーワードにしていた
僕の好みの音「クラシカルな音」はしっかりとジャックが
僕の為に作ってくれたギターに注ぎこまれていました
右手のタッチポジションでの音の厳格な変化 音量の幅広さと
突き抜ける細く小さい音、遠達力のある甘い音
そんな音の発音が僕の為に作ってくれたジャックのギターには宿っています

一緒にオーダーしていたぷう吉さんのギターとまた違う個性があるのに
それでもジャックのギターに統一されているタッチレスポンスの速さには
感銘をうけます
タッチレスポンスの速さが 弾き手による異なる発音にもつながるので
タッチによる表現力の幅広さが 楽しめるので
そんなところが練習意欲・演奏意欲・作曲意欲にもつながります
ジャック先生と関根夫妻に心から感謝しています

ぷう吉さん、Akiさん、ありがとうございました。
お二人の素晴らしい個性あふれる演奏が、ギターによってさらに際立ち
これからもファンの方がさらに魅了されることでしょうね。

夜はサウンドメッセ出展者の皆様の交流パーティ。
おいしいものをいただきながら、外国からこられた職人さんや
日本の出展者の皆様と交流させていただきました。

一日中会場を見回って、困っている人がいないか、
事故などが起こらないか気を配り、たくさん働いていらっしゃいました。
たくさんのコンサートも同時開催、販売ブースにカフェにワークショップなど
いろいろな楽しい催しがいっぱいのサウンドメッセには、
２０１４年からエレクトリックギターゾーンも開設され、さらに発展しています。
実行委員会の皆さんのおかげだなあと思います。
そんな皆さんに感謝の拍手！パチパチパチ！！！！！

楽しい二日間もほんとうにあっという間
遠方からたくさんのお客様がジャックに会いにきてくださいました。
なかにはギターを弾かない方まで！
でもギタープレイヤーでなくても楽しいイベントなのが、サウンドメッセin大阪の
素晴らしいところです。
まだのかた、２０１５年も開催するそうなので、ぜひ行ってみてくださいね。

打ち上げ！

内輪で５人かな１０人かなといっていたら
泊まりで大阪まで来てくれたひとも含め大所帯に！
ぷう吉さんおすすめのなんばの居酒屋さんにて。
みなさんご参加ありがとうございました！

さて、一番奥中央の白いシャツの方が、長野のSUMIギターの鷲見さんです。
SUMIギターさんは国内だけでなく海外からも高い評価を受けている
日本のギターメーカーです。また質の高いこだわりの赤蝦夷松をその素材として
使われることも知られています。
５月にジャックが鷲見さんと東京ハンドクラフトギターショーで初めて対面し、
(こちらの記事でご紹介しています）
鷲見さんが「工房に来てくださいね」と気さくに声をかけてくださったので
今回の来日を機に、大阪に到着する前にさっそく訪問させていただきました。

「プレゼントをあげようとおもうんだけど。」
とジャックが手にしているのは、オーストラリアンブラックウッド。
なるほど、ギター職人ならではのプレゼント。
ジャックにとってはSUMI工房訪問は心躍るものだったのに違いありません。

SUMI工房があるのは長野県丸子町、上田の近くになります。
鷲見さんはとても歓迎してくれました。
さっそく工房を見せてもらい、
どんなギターを作っているのか、どんな機械を使っているのか、
工房の中を案内してもらいます。

SUMI工房さんのオリジナルTシャツもいただきました。

その後、鷲見さんはサウンドメッセに来てジャックにあるものを
プレゼントしてくれました。

なんと貴重な北海道産の赤蝦夷松（レッドスプルース）です！

ジャック大感激！

の写真が、混雑のため撮れませんでした。
でも本当に大感激で、大切にオーストラリアに持ち帰り、
さっそくギターを製作しました。

それがこちら。
モデルはJS-4AC すこし大きめのモデル。アームレスト、カッタウェイ。
サイドバックはオーストラリアンブラックウッド。

ジャックはオリジナルのトンボのインレイが有名ですが、
今回は日本の赤とんぼをインレイにあしらいました。

まさに

日豪ギター職人交流ギター、ですね。

深みのあるすばらしい音色が出るギターとなりました。

さて、サウンドメッセ翌日にもビッグイベントが！
そう、AKiさん、ぷう吉さん、お二人による北浜でのライブです。

その名も

「秋だ一番！ジャック・スピラギターで奏でるスペシャルライブ」

サウンドメッセに来てくれたお客様に告知をしようにも、
すでに予約のお客様で満員御礼。

せっかくたくさん刷ったちらしも　実はひっそりと置かれていたのです。

北浜にある地下酒場という会場で、
Aki Miyoshiさん、ぷう吉さん　お二人のライブ。
お二人とも超絶ソロギターながら　全然違うキャラクターで
お客様を魅了します。

ここでも楽しいトーク炸裂！
ぷう吉さんは大学時代、落語研究会だったそうです。
それにしてもふたりの掛け合いが面白い。
すてきな音楽にトークの絶妙なバランス、ほのぼのとした時間が流れます。

一番後ろで静かに見守るジャックも感動しています。
日本語を勉強中ですが、関西の言葉はちょっと難しいかもしれません。
自分が作ったギターを、お二人が弾きやすいか、音はどうか、
とても集中してきいてました。

このときはAkiさんぷう吉さんは、自分でピックアップを急遽取り付けていたのと、
まだ出来上がって間もないギターなので、
空いている時間に出来るだけ弾き込みながらのライブでした。

お気づきだったと思いますが、
チラシにしっかりジャックの顔も入っていたように、
当然のことながらステージ上に呼び出されるジャック。

元来シャイですが、お二人のサポートで頑張って乗り切りました！
お客様からも温かい拍手が。

約２時間超のなごやかなライブも無事終わり、
お二人のギターをよく見たいお客様がたくさんいます。
これから二人のシグネチャーモデルも製作されることでしょう。
みんな満足したところで解散。

このライブはAkiさんぷう吉さんからジャックへの素敵なプレゼントだったのでした。

みなさまAkiさん　ぷう吉さんのシグネチャーモデルは堪能していただけましたか？
現在この二つのギターには、
こだわりにこだわったアンフィニカスタムさんにより最適なピックアップがセッティングされ、
弾き込まれてさらに音がよくなっているそうです。
音源もいずれアップしますのでお楽しみに！

さて、ジャックの旅に話が戻ります。

今回ジャックの日本の滞在期間は１４日間。

最初のイベントは、前回来日のときに出会った日本の友達と
オーストラリアに来て、ジャックと会った日本の友達などなどが集まった
楽しい音楽の交流パーティです。
さまざまなバンドや楽器が集まり、一日中演奏をし、交流を楽しみました。
また、新しい出会いもあり、ジャックの日本の友人の輪も急速に広がりつつあります。

その後、
大阪方面への旅は１０日間となり、その間はキャンピングカーでみんなで旅をしました。

こんなキャンピングカーです。コンパクトで町中でもすいすい、
駐車場にも楽々とまります。

初日は長野のSUMI工房さんへ。
前述の鷲見さんとの対面、工房見学のあとに、鷲見さんと一緒に
ギタリストの大御所、吉川忠英さんのコンサートに行くことができました！

工房から近くの　姨捨山にある長楽寺で満月の夜にお月見コンサートをされているそうです。
鷲見さんが吉川さんのギターを会場に届けにいくというので
連れて行っていただきました。

すでに人がいっぱいで演奏真っ最中の忠英さん。

落ち着いた美しい弾き語りが、古式ゆかしいお寺の雰囲気にぴったりです。
おりしも秋の満月。

そんな中、なんと忠英さん、コンサート途中でお邪魔したにもかかわらず、
ジャックを皆さんに紹介してくれました！
「今日はオーストラリアから参加のジャックさんです」

あせるジャック！　とりあえずおじぎ・・・。

実は昨年、わたしたち（関根弘幸・典子）がはじめてジャック・スピラのギターを
サウンドメッセのドルフィンギターズさんの店舗内で展示させてもらった折りに
その後の吉川忠英さんと田中淋博さんのライブに二日続けてうかがうことができ、
お話をさせていただいていたのです。

一年ぶりでしたがさすが忠英さん、ギターのことオーストラリアのこと、
覚えていてくださいました。
ジャックとも思いがけない初対面となりました。

フレンドリーな忠英さんに一同感謝感激！
偶然にも引き合わせてくださった鷲見さんにも大感謝です！

長野を後にして、向かったのは京都です。
翌日はサウンドメッセの搬入のため、すこし余裕を持って関西に入りました。
ジャックも京都は初めて。

キャンピングカーは京阪三条駅の近くの町中の駐車場で一泊し
翌日は夕方に大阪入りするので、その前に少しだけ京都散歩。
お決まりの　祇園の雰囲気を楽しみながら、八坂神社→二年坂→産寧坂→清水寺
ぶらぶらと古都の雰囲気を楽しみます。

すでに何度も神社で手水をしているので手慣れた雰囲気のジャック。

と、そこへソロギタリストの田中淋博さんから電話が！
田中淋博さん公式ホームページ
田中さんは京都在住なのです。
一昨年、ジャックとマレーシアのギターフェスティバルで出会い、
その後ご縁がつながり、ジャックのギターの日本紹介に一役かってくれたのでした。
ジャックとの再会はマレーシア以来。
「産寧坂に向かいます！やっと会えますね！」との元気な声。

間もなくやってきた田中さん。久々の再会にとっても嬉しい二人。

忙しい時間の合間に来てくれた田中さんは、
産寧坂から清水寺まで一緒に散歩してくれました。
真っ暗な中を歩く胎内巡りもみんなで体験。
秋の素晴らしい天気の京都が、さらに楽しくなったのは言うまでもありません。
心あたたまる時間をありがとうございました。

田中さんは吉川忠英さんとのコンサートツアーがあり、
このあと全国を回ります。
わたしたち（関根弘幸・典子）は昨年二回拝見しましたが
ほんとうに楽しく素敵なコンサートでした。

しかしながら今回、京都でのコンサートは台風襲来で中止。JRが前日から電車をとめると
決定するくらいのことでしたので、しかたありません。
こんなすてきな写真だけ思い出に撮らせていただきましたよ。

また来年、楽しみにしていますね！

さてさて、もう一人、今回出会った人がいます。
大阪のドルフィンギターズさんにサウンドメッセ後に挨拶に行った折りに
偶然ライブの前に立ち寄った大スターのトミー・エマニュエルさん。
一週間ほど前にちょうどオーストラリアで行っていたトミーさんのワークショップで
ジャックの友人がジャックのギターを見せていたそう。

ドルフィンギターズのスタッフの方がジャックのギターをさっと持ってきてくれました。
そのギターを持って、

「ああ、（オーストラリアでみせてもらったことを）覚えているよ。
低音が魅力的ないいギターだね。これもいいね。」
にこやかな笑顔を向けてくれました。
ドルフィンギターズさんにある、JS-2Cを見て、試奏してくれました。

トミー氏はコンサート会場への移動途中、私たちはAkiさんぷう吉さんの
ライブ前のちょっとした空き時間、不思議な一瞬の巡り合わせでした。

大変忙しい道中でしたが
その合間をぬって観光をしたジャック。

大阪出発の前は、一人で皇居や靖国神社、上野動物園に行ったり、
吉祥寺を散策したり
日本のグルメも楽しみました。
案内する私たちの趣味につきあわされた感もあり・・・

うなぎ

釜揚げうどん

甘味処

お茶屋さん

その他カツ丼、おいなりさん、京料理、居酒屋、いろいろ・・・・

納豆も刺身もなんでも食べられて、しかもお箸が上手なジャックなのでした。
今回は温泉もたくさん入って、だいぶ慣れたようです。

２回目の日本での旅も終わり、１０日間近く過ごしたキャンピングカーにもさようなら。
次回の来日は２０１５年５月、東京ハンドクラフトギターフェスティバルの予定です。
